Installing Remootio to CAME Gate Motor

Firstly thank you for coming to Charged Services the UK’s leading supplier of Remootio 3 Smart Gate opener.

To install your remootio to your Came Electric Gate motor you just need to follow these simple steps. Before you start here is some key information to consider when installing your device to your electric gate motor.

  1. Are you confident in dealing with electricity and electrical terminations. Electric gate electrics can seem simple in principle but in our experience the installation quality varies so much that you can open your motor cover and expose a nest of wires with no specific colour coding that you recognise. This can be confusing and lead to damage to your remootio and your gate motor. If you have any concerns please send us an email info@charged.services and we will gladly assist you and maybe refer you to one of our approved installers in your area.

  2. CAME Gate motors generally use only 2 pins for the open/close/trigger commands. which are Terminals 2 (Common) and 7 (Button control) some also have the function of 2 (Common) and 3 (Push to open)

Here is an instruction manual for a CAME ZA4 control panel which can be used for most CAME Gate motors as a reference as the terminals are the same in most CAME Models.

  3. You can also take the power supply for your remootio from your CAME Panel using terminals 10-11 which are 24v AC power which is perfectly suitable for the Remootio Unit. The only restriction to this is ensuring what safety devices/accessories are already powered from your control panel and that you are not trying to draw more power than the board is capable of. CAME 24v Auxillary output is 800ma supply only. This is enough for 2 sets of photo cells and a remootio. If more devices are attached we recommend adding another powersupply method. This is key as we have had some feedback from customers who have installed a remootio and reported the app as “Glitchy” and this is because the power is limited and the supply has been over used with keypads and additional items running from the panel supply. Moving the Remootio to a seperate power supply has fixed all of the reported customer support queries.
