Remootio Connectivity Issues – UK Internet Service Provider Issues
Background of issue:
· Customer may have a new Remootio installation. Equally they may have had a Remootio working for some time previously, This is giving them the assumption of it being a faulty unit.
· In the UK ISP providers have been tasked with censoring and cracking down on inappropriate content to children. Also the blocking of IPTV services.
· Without asking customers ISP’s have taken action on their server side systems to restricting content and enabling web port filtering without informing their customers.

Sky Broadband – Sky Shield Settings
Sky Shield Updated Mid February 2025 to enable content blocking for accounts with parental controls enabled and default enabled them to everyone who had not set a preference.
If you do not feel you need any parental control you can disable it using these instructions. When accessing your sky shield there is also options for device Exemption: Find the IP address of your Remootio and add it to the exemptions list. Save your settings. Then reboot your router and your Remootio. Test your connection again.
To change your Sky Broadband Shield settings, log in to your Sky account at broadbandshield.sky.com, navigate to the settings, and then choose your desired age rating (PG, 13, 18, or Custom) and save your changes.

Accessing the Sky Broadband Shield:
Go to broadbandshield.sky.com.
Log in using your Sky ID and password.
Navigating the Settings:
You'll see options for different age ratings (PG, 13, 18, and Custom).
You can also customize your settings to block or allow specific websites or content categories.
Making Changes:
Select the desired age rating or customize your settings as needed.
Click "Save all settings" to apply your changes.
Disabling Sky Broadband Shield:
If you want to temporarily disable Sky Broadband Shield, log in to your Sky Broadband Shield account and click "Switch off".
Important Notes:
Changes to Sky Broadband Shield settings can take up to 15 minutes to take effect.
These settings apply to all devices connected to your Sky broadband network.

But I can imagine the situation is exactly the same as this is a government directive to Ofcom for the protection of children online so would imagine all suppliers will be actioning something similar.
With virgin it is not clear that you can exempt individual devices.
BT/EE Internet (Same company)
Similar to sky as Sky actually runs on the BT Network. There is an app and the instructions are here its very similar to that of the Sky process.
