Begin by selecting from two distinct design styles:
Kostum Modern Range (3D rendering): Create sleek, contemporary designs with fully interactive 3D visuals. Customise panels, textures and details to bring your project to life. Rendering quality depends on your device's processing power.
Kostum Traditional Range (2D rendering): Craft classic, timeless designs displayed as detailed 2D renderings. Due to their intricate, multi-layered patterns, traditional designs are shown as flat panels for clarity.
Start a new project to begin the design process from scratch.
Existing design: Enter your unique design code to load a previously saved project and make changes. You receive a code after submitting a design to Charged Services. This allows you to reopen and edit your design as many times as you like, and allows us to amend your design and send it back for review.
Select the product you want to design: driveway gate, fence, privacy panel, pedestrian gate or garden gate. You can design multiple products within the same project later, so don't worry about choosing just one now.
Device note: On older devices, you may be limited to designing one product at a time due to processing power constraints.
Choose the base design style for your product:
Modular styles: Versatile designs that can be paired with other styles. For example, a Metig gate can be matched with an Ivona wicket door — we match the spacings at the design stage.
Full suite styles: Complete sets with matching options for driveway gates, pedestrian gates, fencing and walls.
You can also add pillars or aluminium posts for mounting, walls with fence infills, and matching pedestrian gates to create a complete entrance solution.
Personalise your product by setting the following options:
Size: Click the dimension boxes to enter your exact measurements.
Product type: Choose between swing or sliding. Some styles support both; others are compatible with only one.
Opening direction: Select whether the gate opens inward or outward and swings left or right.
Design details: Pick your preferred colour and any style-specific features such as slat colours or laser-cut panel patterns.
Add additional products to build a complete entrance design. In this step you can add walls, fences, posts and further gate sections alongside your main driveway gate.
Refine your design with angles and additional components:
Starting angle: Use 180 degrees to extend in a straight line or 90 degrees for a right angle. Custom angles accommodate long driveways or unusual property shapes.
Walls and fences: Customise wall types such as rendered block or brickwork. Full-height fences without a wall automatically divide into sections based on length.
Pedestrian gates: Add wicket gates at any point in your design. Select appropriate mounting posts and styles in the customisation section.
Customise your wicket gate to complement your driveway gate:
Matching styles: For modular designs, adjust panel sizes to match your driveway gate for a cohesive look. For full suite designs, select from fixed designs that automatically align with your chosen style.
Hinge options: Choose between-post hinges (gate sits flush between posts) or flag hinges (gate mounts behind a post, offset from the front). Use the overhead view in the configurator to confirm your setup.
Finishing touches: Focus on visualising your design in the configurator. Once submitted, our team handles the final technical details to bring your vision to life.
Once you're happy with your design, submit it through the configurator. You'll receive a unique design code that lets you reopen and edit your project at any time. Our team will review your submission and get in touch with a quote.
