For houses, a video intercom on the gate or front door lets you see and speak to visitors from your phone, and open the gate from the sofa or from work. We fit HikVision, Akuvox and Ubiquiti intercoms, and often pair them with an electric gate so deliveries and visitors can be let in remotely.

Grays also has plenty of converted houses and small blocks of flats. For these we install door entry with an outdoor panel, indoor screens or app access for each flat, and fobs that can be cancelled when a tenant moves out.

Do you cover the whole of Thurrock?

Can I open my gate from my phone?

Yes. A smartphone video intercom lets you see who is at the gate or door and open it from anywhere with an internet connection. If you have an electric gate, we wire the intercom to the gate motor so it opens with a tap.

What door entry system suits a block of flats or an HMO?

For shared buildings, we usually recommend Akuvox. Each flat gets an indoor screen or app, and you as landlord or managing agent can add and remove residents remotely, with no keys to collect or locks to change.

Can access control cover vehicle gates as well as doors?

Yes. Paxton readers, keypads and ANPR cameras can all control vehicle gates and barriers on the same system as your doors, so one fob or credential works across the site.

Can you upgrade our old intercom?

Usually. Older HikVision intercoms can often be upgraded to current models with smartphone access using the existing cabling. We also repair faults on intercoms fitted by other installers.
